While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I encountered behind its threshold was appalling and beyond comprehension .

The floorboards were filthy, and a nauseating aroma of stale beer and neglected washrooms suffused the entire pub. With a smell of a mixture of ammonia , decay and illness .
